It is always recommend that you seek out and obtain Independent Legal Advice before signing any legally binding contract. A Separation Agreement* is no different. If you wish to ensure that your Separation Agreement* will be stand-up in court if your spouse ever tries to counter any part of the contract, then you are both advised to seek and obtain ILA on your Separation Agreement* before it is signed.
